This is the record from 2018 to present.

CK-9 was called out by NCPP for a 69 YOM missing since 2 Jan in Beltsville MD. Responded at 0800 9 Jan 2018 with 2 HRD dogs, 3 flankers and 2 Base operators. The man was found deceased later that night near BWI:-(

 

CK-9 called out 2230 Mar 16th by Anne Arundel Sheriff’s Office for a missing 64YOM with Alzheimer’s. We deployed 5 dog teams and 4 Base/Flankers. After most of CK-9 arrived on site but before being deployed, the happy find was made:-)

CK-9 Call Out 10 April at 1300 by St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office for a 62-year-old male with Alzheimer’s missing in St. Mary's City. We responded with 9 SAR dog teams, 5 flankers and 3 Base folks. We had 6 dog teams deployed in the field searching at the time crews located and quickly rescued the man who was found alive waist deep in a marsh. CK-9 responded to a 1245 Apr 26th call out from National Capital Park Police for a 75 YOM with dementia missing since midnight in Clinton MD. We responded with 4 dog teams, 5 flankers and 3 base folks. Before all of of our teams had arrived to search, our own CK-9 Dog Team Farley on his second task makes the happy find alive and well:-)

CK-9 was called out days early for a planned 6 May 2018 search by NCPP PG county for a 25YOM with schizophrenia missing for 30 days. CK-9 formulated the search plan and reported 24 searchers and 9 Operational search dogs would arrive 0900 May 6th to conduct the search with PG county Police. But on 4 May NCPP informed us that the subject had been found alive in a DC hospital. Another happy ending:-)

Happy Ending to a 26 Jul 2018 midnight search for an Alzheimer wandering man:-) Ck-9 responded with 4 dog teams and many other MD SAR teams to Glen Burnie just after midnight and searched with AA police until he was found at 10 AM the next morning. Long night, hard work, happy ending:-)

CK-9 Alert only at 1200 2 Aug 2018 by Saint Mary's Sheriffs Office. The man who went missing 1 Aug was last being seen in the McIntosh Run River near the Port of Leonardtown Winery; sadly mid afternoon 2 Aug his body was found in the water.

Ck-9 responded to MD State Police call out for searches on both 25 and 26 Aug 2018 for a 38YOF. We responded with 2 HRD/cadaver dogs and 15 folks (Handlers, Flankers, Base). She was found alive and well by police miles away from the search site.

CK-9 Call Out Tracys Landing 4 Oct 2018 by AA Police at 0900 for an Elderly woman with Narcolepsy missing since the night before sometime. Even before our teams could arrive, 0945 Police reported she was found alive.

CK-9 was advanced called out by AA county Police on 24 Oct for a follow up search for 25 Oct if needed. The 24 Oct search was succesful so no search was required on the 25th:-)

SMSO has informed Kelly/POB CK-9 at 1930 on 2 Nov 2018 that they are searching for a missing 14 YOF in the Pembrook area of Wildwood missing for the last 3 hours; She left a suicide note. We were notified she was found alive and well at 2130 that night:-)

Ck-9 called out by NCPP at 1930 on 15 Feb 2019 to Bowie MD for a 74YOF critically missing woman. We responded with 19 search members and 8 CK-9 dogs. Within just 50 minutes from inital tasking, Team Rita/Koop made the find alive and well:-)

CK-9 call out 6 Apr 2019 AA police see record of event

CK-9 Call Out 0130 by AA Police 24 Apr 2019 to Solley Park in Glen Burnie for a 13YOF despondent. We responded with 4 dog teams (Degan, Koop, Bennie and Sabre) and 4 flankers. We had Team Koop on site at the time of the SC! happy find around 0240.

Call Out 7 May 2019 SMSO 1330. Massive search yesterday in Saint Mary's county for a 5YO Autistic boy who ran away into thick woods during school. CK-9 sent 7 dog teams/handlers and 10 others searchers/support folks.HAPPY ENDING three hours later when the boy was found by neighborhood searchers reacting to the reverse 911 emergency assist call. He was hiding in a tree stand. GREAT JOB to the Saint Mary's Sheriffs Office running the search, the Fire agencies, neighbors and all others:-)


 CK-9 call out 0905 Sat 22 Jun 2019 by Charles CSOfor 40TOM suicide. We had 6 area search dogs, 1 trailing dog and a host of flankers and Base support to cover just the 200 acres police wanted searched behind his home between housing areas. 0955 found alive by police before CK-9 arrival near home just inside woodline evading detection.

ALERT CK-9, 0600 10 July 2019; Stand by for an all SAR team Call OUT within the hour. Missing 2.5 male YO Child Anna Arundel county! Det Jay Schline called and is on the way to the scene.He will call back with more details when he has them. He said to expect an all MD SAR team Call Out. 40 minutes later child was found alive at a neighbors home:-)

Call Out 15 Jul 2130 NCPP LT Liberman to search for a 16YOM who wandered away from their family this afternoon at Cosca Park..... where Team Neeko made his first find...... Before I could get more details and notification out to you all she informed me they found him alive and well 😀

CK-9 responded to a Bowie Police call out at 1445 3 Aug 2019 for a critical missing man. We deployed 5 dog teams to the site with flankers and search management support. Police investigation determined the man was not in the search area so all teams were recalled out of the woods. He was later found by Police at the train station in Bowie. Happy Ending:-)

CK-9 Call Out Search by NCPP PG county to Chillum MD 1515 26 Aug 2019. Happy Ending! The missing 15 YOM despondent was later found by Police alive walking along a highway:-) CK-9 deployed 7 dog teams and 14 searchers to the site. We searched the remaining day and all the way till 11PM at night covering all suspected areas...... Love Happy Endings:-)

CK-9 responded to AA Police call out 1330 Oct 1st 2019 to Severn MD for a despondent male missing for 4 days. We deployed one Cadaver Dog Team and 4 searchers along with many other MD SAR dog teams in a large search effort. It was suspended after dark for further investigation. Found two days later outside search area

CK-9 on a call out 3 Oct 2019 AA Police; Team Teyla and Team Degan responded in a heavy Briar marsh areas.

CK-9 late night 2100 Call Out 7-8 Oct 2019 Annapolis for a missing despondent woman. CK-9 responded with 13 searchers and 5 area search dogs along with many more MD SAR dog teams in this large effort search run by Anne Arundel Police. Search concluded at 0330 late late night with no find. Police back in the investigation mode. Found alive the next day:-)

CK-9 Call Out Oxon Hill 3 Nov for a missing man. CK-9 deployed 3 dog teams with 6 flanker/support folks plus another SAR team's 2 dog assets. No find was made. Investigation continues with the Police. Man found alive in a hospital that night.

CK-9 was requested 10 Nov 2019 late in the day by NCPP Law Enforcement to supply a single HRD dog team for a direct mission.   

CK-9 responded to PG Police 9-10 Dec 2100 to search for a missing 81 YO man. CK-9 searched with 4 dog teams until 0300 with the police and still no find. Police investigation continues.Update: He was found safe this morning; HAPPY ENDING:-)

CK-9 called out by Saint Mary's county police 2200 8 Feb 2020 for a 14YOM autistic male. We responded with 6 dog teams and 10 flanker/support members. Police found the boy soon after Katy arrived on scene but before most others arrived.Happy ending:-)

CK-9 AA Police Call out 2330 24 Feb 2020 at night for a 12YO male missing for 5 hours.CK-9 responded with 3 dog teams and 3 support/flankers along with multiple other SAR teams. We all searched the entire night into the morning. He was found by AA police at 0730 alive and well; Happy Ending:-)

CK-9 call out Annapolis at noon 5 Mar 2020 by AA Police for a missing woman. Ck-9 responded with 3 dog teams and 4 support/flankers, along with many other SAR teams. Search ended at night, police investigation continues.

CK-9 called out by PG police 25 May at 0800 to Fort Washington for a despondent subject. We responded with 4 dogs and 12 members. A joint sad find was made by the Ck-9 ground search dog and the Sardom water dog.

CK-9 called out 2100 27 May by AA Police to Annapolis for a missing 11 YO girl. Ck-9 responded with two dog teams with flankers, plus 3 Search Management support members. Many other SAR teams also responded. She was found around midnight evading serachers, alive and well.

Ck-9 responded to a call out on 24 Sep 2020. Details confidential.

CK-9 Called out 9 Oct 2020 at 0015 by SMSO for a 12YO boy missing since 2030 that night. He left on his bike. Search was in progress with fire and police; CK-9 deployed 4 area search dog teams and flankers, plus two Base OPS folks. The boy was found by police at 0250 alive and well hiding in a house not his own.

CK-9 called out 12 Dec by Saint Mary's SO 6PM for a missing 15YOF. CK-9 responded with 5 airscent dogs, 2 flankers and a Base OPS. Prior to actual deployment into the field, police found the girl alive and well:-)

CK-9 called out 0730 25 Jan 2021 by PG Police for a 44 YOF wandering with mental issues. We responded with 3 dog teams, flankers and Base OPS. Very soon after CK-9 arrival on site Police found the subject walking on a street.

CK-9 call out 27 Jan 1930 by St Mary's for a 14YOF suicidal girl. She was found at a friends house before CK-9 even reported availablity:-)

CK-9 called out by AA police for a missing 20YOM 25 Feb 2021 at 1130. We responded with 4 dog teams. All teams deployed on tasks, no find was made; but later that night LE informed us that his family reported he was alive and was way outside the search area.

CK-9 deployed 5-6 Apr 2021 by SMSO at midnight with 6 SAR dogs to search to just before sunrise for two missing teenage boys. They were found alive and well the next day in another state 🙂 Attached is a link showing our search team using Thermal Binocs during their search and encountering an opossum. https://youtu.be/k2DRFu85sy8. CK-9 Call Out Mechanicsville 5-6 Aug 2021. Thursday afternoon and Friday Morning CK-9 was called out by St. Mary's County Sherriff's Office to search for a missing 30-year-old man. We responded with 5 CK-9 dogs and 7 members on day 1 and 2 dogs and 5 members on day 2.  We would also like to thank Search and Rescue Dogs of Maryland for working together with us to bring closure to the search event...ST3.

CK-9 Call Out by SMSO 1815 on Sat 28 Aug 2021 for a car accident victim bleeding who wandered into woods. We responded with 2 dog teams, 6 flankers and 1 Base OPS; plus a SARDOM dog team support. Search teams deployed in woods recalled later when police informed by witness they saw man get into another car and drive off the scene.

Call Out SMSO 1000 25 Sep 2021 for missing 3YO girl gone since 0830. We responded with 5 dogs and 6 members; a sad find was made by police prior to CK-9 teams arriving on site.

 CK-9 called out 1330 7 Oct 2021 by Det Schline for a 79 YO missing man with dementia, missing for 2.5 days. We responded with 2 CK-9 dog teams. A sad find was made at 1830 that evening. FCSO spokesman said Walker was found less than a mile, as the crow flies, from his home. Two Jefferson residents who decided to walk their property Thursday night found Walker, according to Wivell. The terrain made it "very hard" for Walker to be seen.

CK-9 Called Out by SMSO on 11 Feb 2022 at 2130 to help search for a missing despondent 13YO teenage boy who went into the woods just two hours ago by his home……. I said absolutely yes!, ……until he said they knew the boy was armed with a box cutter and the deputy was concerned for our safety, so he said an LE officer would be with each crew; and then asked if that would be an issue for us……….. At that point I said yes it was an issue and declined the search☹ He totally understood I did not want to endanger our dogs and volunteers with an armed, suicidal, unstable individual………….. The boy was found or turned up 2 hours later.

CK-9 was called out by SMCSO 0840 Feb 15 2022 to search for a 71 y/o missing male in Charlotte Hall.   We responded with 5 K-9s and 9 members.  At approximately 1150 a happy find was made by our own Team Butters

CK-9 called out 3 Apr 2022 at 0500 this morning by Calvert Sheriff’s Office for an 81YOM who ran away from Heritage House off Dowell Rd in Solomans around 0330. Police and others had been looking for the man and could not find him, so we were called. As I was typing the Call Out email and robo call he called me back and said they just found him alive😊

Ck-9 Deployed today 21 May 2022 0700 to a major AA County Police Muti-Organizational recovery search Lane/Smith. We responded with 2 HRD dog teams, 2 OPS, and 8 flankers. The temperature was ‘feels like’ 98 degrees and the first hot day since winter that no one was ready for! No Find made; search terminated around 1100 for heat.  Hats off to all the Volunteers , Law Enforcement Officers and medical personnel that helped today!

Calvert County Sheriff’s Office called out CK-9 7 Jun 2022 to assist them in a search yesterday. We responded with 2 Base OPS, 2 cadaver dog teams and 6 flankers. Team Toby with Sheriff’s officers flanking made the sad find. The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office has stated that Ms. D’Angel has been located and is deceased. There are no signs of foul play, and the investigation is ongoing.

CK-9 Responded to a midnight call out by PG Police on 19 Jun 2022 for a 65YOM with dementia. We responded with 2 area search dog teams, 3 flankers and 2 Base OPS folks, along with a Sardom Dog team. Around 0300 a neighbor saw the man and made the find alive a well:-)

 CK-9 called by SMSO 0200 25 Jun 2022 for a missing 71 YOF talking about suicide. We responded with 3 dog teams, 3 flankers and 1 Base OPS. Before most of us left home she returned home and was taken to the hospital. Happy Ending:-)

CK-9 was called out by PG Police 0800 on 9 Aug 2022 to search for a missing 4YOM suspected buried. We responded with 2 cadaver dog teams, 4 flankers and 1 OPS. No find was made.
CK-9 Call Out Lexington Park yesterday 5 Sep 2022 1400 searching for a missing suicidal 24 YO man. We deployed 4 dog teams, 3 flankers and a Base OPS manager along with multiple police officers. A happy find was made in the woods by CK-9 Team Sassy about 1.3km from the man's car:-)
