CK9 was called out by Charles County Sheriff's Office to meet at Purse State Park at 0900 3 Jan 12 to search for remains of an individual. We responded with 4 STMs and 2 HRD dogs teaming up with SARDOM HRD dogs for the search. We had excellent results hopefully allowing for the future identification of someones loved one.

Calvert Sheriffs Office called out CK-9 at 1445 on 14 Dec 11 for an 80YOM walk away in the Owings MD area. We responded with 9 STMs and 3 dogs (2 airscent and 1 tracking). On arrival Team Starbuck was deployed within 15 minutes into a high prob area. The rest of the team was on site or just arriving when police found the man in a locked shed alive and well:-)

Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad invited CK-9 to come brief their team and do a SAR Dog Demo. We all had a great time and had lunch together at the Squad.

CK-9 also participated in the CFC Charity Fair at the National Guard Bureau on 7 Oct 11; and the 3 Nov 11 US Department of Labor Veterans Salute Kick-Off and Charity Fair.

CK-9 was Called Out to Fort Washington National Park MD 16&18 Oct 11 by DNRP/MSP to search for a missing Virginia man. We responded using a total of 13 searchers (11 STMS) and 4 dogs (1 Wilderness HRD , 2 in HRD training and 1 airscent). The man was not found :-(

CK-9 was requested by MSP to return to Piscataway Park on 14 & 16 Oct 11 to search in selected areas of high interest for the same missing woman. We sent a total 4 dogs and 12 searchers to cover the areas.

CK-9 conducted a night SAREX at the Charlotte Hall Vet Home. 5 Dogs and 11 searchers took just 40 minutes to find 3 subjects (one was an HRD training aid subject

CK-9 responded on 25 and 27 Sep 11 to a MSP call out to search Piscataway Park for a lost female missing since July . CK-9 responded with 11 STMs and 3 dogs (all training in HRD).

MCC events 15 Sep Baltimore, and 16 Sep in Annapolis.

CK9 was called out by Calvert Sherrif's Department at 1700 for a 93 year old walk-away subject. We responded with 8 STMs and 3 dogs, Bailey, Starbuck, and Jett. Luckily she was found and in good health!

Animal Welfare event at Saint Mary's Fairground. We performed 2 SAR dog demonstrations.

We were called out by DNRP to meet at 0900 9 Apr 11 at Patapsco State Park to participate in a large scale search for a person missing since Dec 2010. We responded with 9 STMs and 3 airscent dogs. All three of our dog teams searched through the day with all the other teams and organizations. Unfortunately she was not found

CK-9 hosted a Signcutting/Tracking expert at CCNP all day Saturday. Rob was a terrific instructor. We all learned the basics of how to follow tracks on our hands and knees............it is really really hard :-)

Called out by DNR at 1930 for an Alzheimer's walk away missing for 6 hours. We responded with 7 STMs and 2 dogs (one not arriving in time), We searched all night and into the morning before he was found alive.

Hug a tree demonstration, Greenview Knolls Elementary School, 1st Grade.

8 of our STMs and 2 airscent dogs (Starbuck and Jett) arrived at 0830 Sunday to join around 200 other area law enforcement, DNR/MSP, FBI, and multiple SAR teams to search for a missing girl! Team Starbuck executed over a 3 hour search; Team Jett conducted 2 separate task assigned search missions.FANTASTIC JOB by ALL!

CK-9 conducted an airscent seminar with Sharon Jones of Dogs East as our instructor. Tremendous instructor, we learned a ton from her many years training SAR dogs.

Calvert K-9s was invited to participate in the Anne Arundel Department of Homeland Security exercise that involved Fire, Police, MSP, DNRP and 2 SAR Teams. We sent 2 airscent dog teams with Flankers. Great experience on a large multi organizational level, and fun to boot.............but very very cold!

6 SAR Teams particiated in a 2 day SAREX in the Darlington Md area. All 3 subjects were found in a 6 hour period! We sent 4 dogs and 8 STMs.

18 Aug 10 Joint Training held directly after an awards ceremony where they presented a thank you certificate to us for the 21 Jul search in Lexington Park.

CSM sponsored a program to teach children about working with animals and about animals with jobs. A Hug A Tree presentation was also presented.

11 members (9 STMs) and Starbuck conducted day and night searchs. Awesome job by ALL!

Joint SAREX with 5 SAR teams at Boy Scout Camp (BCMSR) 17 Jul 10 run by Delmarva. CK-9 had 8 members and 3 dogs. Great performance by all! CK-9 found the last subject and assisted in rescue litter extraction. Heat index 100 degrees!

CK9 responded to a DNR call out at 1730 on 19 Jun for a 52 year old subject in the Marriottsville, MD area west of Baltimore. We responded with 8 STMs and Starbuck immediately getting a night time airscent search area on arrival assigned with 6 of our own STMs and Starbuck! Our team was in the area heading directly toward the subjects home where he showed up before we arrived and we were recalled by base. Great job to all!

Calvert K9 Search And Rescue Team responded to their first call out with 9 STMs and 3 dogs, being less than 48 hours operational. Of course the call out it was at midnight when we were all in bed.............

Rush Hour is an all day community event sponsored by Living Hope First United Pentecostal Church and the Southern Maryland community.

Overnight SAREX that got cancelled for thunderstorms at the end of first day.

Sarex focused on 24 hour old trailing dog tracks and large area airscent searches.

Lost Police Bloodhound 5-11 Aug 09; Calvert K-9s first "Call to Duty" helping fellow Police K-9 handlers search for a lost dog! Fantastic turn out by Calvert K-9s. Zoey was found in part by all of our efforts.
