Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 6:34PM CK-9 responded to a DNRP request to search for a possible suicide victim missing for 2 weeks presumed to be in Blockhouse Point Park in Montgomery county MD. CK-9 responded with 2 airscent dogs (In HRD training) and 8 STMs at 0800 Sunday. A CK-9 team made the unhappy find in the early morning. A family got closure.
Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 8:23AM Call out 2210 by Saint Mary's Sheriff's Office to assist in finding 3 girls ages 7, 9 and 10 missing for 2 hours in the Lexington park area. CK-9 immediately responded with 6 STMs, 2 airscent and one trailing dog. Two of our STMs with 2 dogs arrived on scene within minutes of the police locating the girls alive and well :-)
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:16PM CK-9 was called out at 1055 by Calvert Sheriff's Office for an 82 year old dementia male lost just 15 min before the call in the Huntingtown MD area. CK-9 responded with 7 STMs, 2 airscent dogs and 1 tracking dog. Minutes before the full team would have arrived on site, police reported they had made the find alive and well :-)
Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 8:37AM We were called out by DNRP to meet at 0900 9 Apr 11 at Patapsco State Park to participate in a large scale search for a person missing since Dec 2010. We responded with 9 STMs and 3 airscent dogs. All three of our dog teams searched through the day with all the other teams and organizations. Unfortunately she was not found.
Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 10:20AM CK-9 was called out by Saint Mary's Sheriff's Office at 2330 5 Apr 11 to assist in searching for two 80 year old subjects lost in Myrtle Point Park. Before our call out phone tree was completed, police found both subjects alive and well:-)............we all went back to bed.
